Ingleby Gallery Update

img_8547

Preparations continue for my Vibrant Colour exhibition at the Ingleby Gallery. Above you can see ‘Off to Market’, a watercolour painting on paper.

I posted some brief information back in August, but as a reminder in case you missed it: the gallery is in Ingleby, Nr Melbourne, Derbyshire, DE73 7HW. The exhibition opens on Sunday 20th November and runs until Sunday 4th December.

Ingleby Gallery sits in the Trent Valley surrounded by open pastures extending to the river with ponds and ducks, a very rural setting with plenty of parking for visitors. Ingleby is a small hamlet with some of the cottages dating back to the 16th century.

The brick building housing the gallery was originally a shire horse stable, part of one of the working farms on Sir Francis Burdett’s Foremarke Estate. Built in the 18th century it has many of its original features, including hayrack and harness pegs.

Opening hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Saturdays and Sundays from 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm. Do call in if you’re in the area!
